General Event Information 
Q: When and where is the AECC Alumni Reunion taking place?
A: The event will be held on Saturday 27 September 2025. The daytime reunion takes place on the HSU campus on Parkwood Road, Bournemouth, BH5 2DF (9am – 4.30pm), followed by the Gala Dinner at the Hilton Bournemouth, Terrace Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5EL (7pm – 12 midnight).
Q: Do I need to register in advance?
A: Yes, tickets are required for both the daytime reunion and the evening Gala Dinner.
Friday evening and Saturday morning 
Q: Is there anything happening on Friday evening before the reunion?
A: Yes! Join us on Friday night at The Togglers Arms Bar on campus to reconnect with old friends and make new ones over drinks – just like the good old days. This informal get-together is a great way to start the reunion weekend. You can enter Togglers via the quad entrance and the bar will also be open to our current students.
Q: Is there anything planned for early risers on Saturday?
A: For those who like an active start, we’ll be hosting a morning run and optional sea swim alongside some of our current students on Saturday morning (7.30am). It’s the perfect way to shake off the cobwebs before the day begins. Please meet outside the gym in Car Park 1 for a 7.30am start if you’d like to join us.
Q: Do I need to register separately for the Friday night or Saturday morning activities?
A: No, these activities are included as part of the reunion weekend. If you’ve booked a ticket for Saturday, you can turn up on campus on Friday and join in.
Q: Will there be somewhere to shower or change after the Saturday morning run/sea dip?
A: Yes, facilities will be available on campus in the gym to freshen up before registration opens at 9am.
CPD Day (HSU Campus, 9am - 4.30pm) 
Q: Where is the CPD day being held?
A: The CPD sessions will take place on the HSU campus, which was the AECC campus, as part of Saturday’s daytime reunion programme. The full address is: Parkwood Campus, Parkwood Road, Bournemouth, BH5 2DF. You can head to Main Reception when you arrive on campus.
Q: What CPD will be available on the day?
A: As part of the reunion, we’re offering dedicated CPD sessions designed to refresh and develop your professional skills:
- Clinical Confidence: Tune-Up & Take-Off – Interactive workshops to refresh, refine, and re-energise your clinical skills.
- Special Populations sessions – Focused learning to enhance your knowledge and confidence when working with specific patient groups.
These CPD opportunities are included in the daytime reunion programme at HSU and count towards your annual professional development. For the full time-table of CPD sessions available please visit here. CPD certificates will be sent to you after the event by email.
Q: Will food and refreshments be provided in the day?
Light refreshments will be provided during the day and lunch will be available for registered attendees.
Evening Gala Dinner (Hilton Bournemouth, 7pm–12 midnight) 
Q: Where in the Hilton Hotel is the dinner?
A: The Gala Dinner will take place in the Phox-Trott Room on the first floor of the Hilton Bournemouth. A lift is available for easy access.
Q: What is the dress code for the Gala Dinner?
A: The Gala Dinner is a formal event and guests are encouraged to dress to impress! We encourage cocktail dresses, evening wear or smart suits.
Q: Will dietary requirements be catered for?
A: Yes, suitable options will be provided if communicated prior to the date.
Q: Will there be a bar at the Gala Dinner?
A: Yes, there will be a bar open throughout the evening. Please note that the Hilton operates cashless payments only, so please bring a debit or credit card. There will also be half a bottle of wine per guest offered during the dinner, which is included in the ticket price.
Q: Is there a hotel discount for alumni staying overnight?
A: Yes. Gala Dinner guests receive 20% off Hilton Bournemouth bedrooms on 27 September 2025. You can do this by booking via this link.
Travel & Accommodation 
Q: Is parking available on campus for the daytime reunion?
A: Yes, complimentary parking is available at HSU for registered attendees of the daytime reunion.
Q: Is parking available at the Hilton Hotel?
A: Yes. Complimentary parking is included for Gala Dinner guests on a first come, first served basis. Simply register your car’s number plate at hotel reception on arrival.

A: The Hilton Bournemouth is centrally located at Terrace Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5EL.
Other Information 
Q: Will there be photographs during the event?
A: Yes, professional photography will take place throughout the day and evening. These may be used for future alumni communications. If you would prefer not to appear in photographs, please inform the organisers. Photos will be shared afterwards and a link will be sent by email.
